Our Lancashire grown luxury sports turf really is a cut above the rest! this turf is made up of a mixture of bents and fescues for that high quality cotton like finish as well as around 25% rye grass to give your lawn a great defence mechanism against disease, There is little demand for the old fashioned bowling green lawns of the 80s due to the high maintenance required,these lawns are made up of just bents and fescue and therefore offer no defence against drought,foot traffic and poor shade, the great thing is that the dwarf rye grasses used today have come on lots from 20 - 30 years ago and are barely visible if your lawn is kept well mown, in addition to that we have recently introduced the SATARKY RYE into our mix which is a quality rye grass that helps make this turf an absolute survival expert in areas of poor shade or draught. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE OUR BLACK LANCASHIRE/TOPSOIL MIX UNDER NEW LAWNS AS THE EXTRA NATURAL POTASH WILL HELP WITH RAPID ROOTING WHILST THE NATURAL NITROGEN WILL HELP KEEP YOUR LAWN LOVELY AND GREEN.
